Seeking belay partners for City Climber's Club at 59th Street Rec Center
I'm recovering from back surgery and looking to get back into climbing shape for outings this spring, and though my husband and some friends occasionally like to come for a light climb, few are as interested in the frequent practice I'd prefer to do.
So I thought I'd cast my net and see if there are any other CCC members here who'd like to add a buddy to their list or whathaveyou.
I've been for a climb once post-op (and am seriously out of shape) and I was climbing at about a 5.6-5.8 during my pre-op days, but now that I'm 'fixed,' I'd like to see if I can't get a whole lot better.

As you can see (I posted my own add aswell) I am also looking for a climbing partner. I'm not sure about the CCC though, it might be a bit far away (I live south of prospect park in Brooklyn, and I'd like to go by bicycle as much as possible), but I'll go and check it out today. Are you still looking for a climbing partner?

Karin, yes I am! I go about once a week, and will be increasing my frequency soon, but I started a facebook group to help gather other climbers at that location. I totally understand if it's too far for you on a regular basis, but if you're on facebook, I can let you know whenever I'm going (and always looking for buddies to climb with).

Hi everyone,
I'll be back in NY for the holidays starting early next week. Any chance any of you will be going to the CCC next Tuesday or after Christmas? I'd love to get in some climbing while visiting home and I reckon could pull 5.7/5.8 depending since I, too, have not climbed in a long, long time.
