I was just wondering the name of a boulder in central park i can't seem to find information on it anywhere and i have been obsessed with it ever since i have seen it. Its an overhang about 20 25 feet on the west drive, north woods of central park. if you walk from worthless down west drive you will find it. there is chalk all over it so i know its been climbed. so anyway if anyone has any info about it would they lemme know.

because it hangs over the road i dont think its legal....but i have also seen people bouldering it with their pads set up in the road, cyclists and cops passing by.
dont know of any named problems or grades.
It may be the boulder mentioned in the latest UrbanClimber. It spoke about the direct route right up the main part of the over hang rates a supposed V12. check out the mag for more.
the new route on the boulder is v12 just sent by Ivan Green. i'll have to dig up my Urban Climber Magazine to see the name of it. The rock is now being called the marathon boulder.
