Bouldering in brooklyn?
so i have recently fallen in love with the sport of bouldering. ive been climbing central park a little while im in the city, but i live in brooklyn. i know there brooklyn boulders the indoor gym in brooklyn. but are there any real boulders to climb? i like indoor but being outside and being on a real rock is what the sports alll about, there have to be a couple rocks sticking outta the ground somewhere in brooklyn. any help would be great, thanks.

i've also wondered the same but have noticed the unfinished bases of the bridges have exposed rock faces on them with lots of routes to traverse. however, the one time i did venture to the base of the williamsburg bridge (brooklyn side) to boulder, i got a summons ticket from the NYPD.
so, if you're brave and have several spotting buddies (for the falls and looking out for cops) it's not too bad a spot to boulder.
I’m coming NYC for business June 17 th till the 25 th, and I’m looking to do some climbing while I’m in town. If you have any interest in bouldering in Central Park let me know
I have enjoyed climbing under the Williamsburg Bridge and other faces for years and have never encountered problems with police. I usually climb at evenings tho, maybe I got lucky. It is a great spot on a rainy day. I'm happy to know that other people are using these primo blocks, I hope to see you out there.
