New Gym in Brooklyn Opening Soon

I've just added Brooklyn Boulders to the gym section of ClimbNYC.com

Slated to open in some form in August, this gym has 18,000 square feet of floor space with top ropes, lead climbing and bouldering. Routes will be up to 40ft and the boulders top out over 17ft.

They're holding "t-nut parties" on Saturdays where anybody can come and visit and land a hand setting t-nuts in exchange for free day passes. More info is at their Facebook group - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=124781575636&ref=ts

Find out more on Brooklyn Boulder's page on ClimbNYC.com or visit their website.

Some tweaks to the website

I've made a few changes to the way the site works, the most important of which is disabling anonymous comments. It appeared that in some reviews and comments people were not being honest about who they were and what relationship they had with the gyms they were reviewing, so people are now required to register. People without accounts can still rate gyms, but can't leave reviews.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please post a comment here, or send me a message via the contact page.

Photos wanted for the new design of the website

I finally found some time to make this website look a bit better. If you click around different pages you'll see that the header photo changes. I'd love to have some more photos to include up there, so if you have any that you're happy to share, please get in touch - [clickToShowEmail]@climbnyc.com

The photo will be cropped to approx 970 x 200 px, and should have a fairly dark solid color on the top left for the site name to go on top of.
